Editing
I have experience in different types of editing through internships and my time at Ooligan Press. In each example, I was able to revise content for easier readability.
Book Marketing
These examples are from graduate-level courses. Each example targets a different audience and exemplifies my ability to appeal to a wide range of people. Along with my degree, I decided to specialize in marketing.
Digital/Design Skills
The following examples exemplify my skills with coding, Adobe Suite, and website design. I gained all of my digital skills from graduate-level courses and was able to implement those skills into projects outside of the classroom. I was able to work with Literary Arts to promote the Portland Book Festival 2021, the PSU McNair Program to create their student research catalog, and Sylvia Hayse Literary Agency to develop their new website.
Project Management
These examples are documents from when I was a Project Manager at Ooligan Press. I managed the book production timeline of From Knowledge to Power (published in Nov. 2021) and the beginning stages of Extreme Vetting (to be published in Winter 2023). As a project manager, I oversaw a small team and delegated tasks to each member. From cover design, marketing materials, and social media content, I ensured that each document was in line with the book’s message and audience.
Academic Papers
These examples are academic papers in subjects within the publishing industry that I’m interested in. I wanted to highlight the kind of research I completed during my graduate degree.
Copywriting
These examples are blogs or articles I’ve written in a professional capacity. I wanted to highlight the variety of subjects and audiences I can appeal to.
